Job Description:
Sonora Quest Laboratories, a unique venture between Banner
Health and Quest Diagnostics, is seeking a dedicated and
detail-oriented Medical/Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join our
team. This role is central to our mission of providing top-notch
diagnostic testing services throughout Arizona. As a pivotal member
of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for conducting a
variety of complex biochemical, hematological, microbiological, and
molecular tests. Your work will directly contribute to the accurate
diagnosis and timely treatment of diseases, enhancing patient
outcomes and advancing public health. Perform accurate laboratory
testing across various biological samples, interpreting and
documenting results Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to
ensure operational efficiency Adhere to all laboratory protocols
and safety standards to ensure compliance with local, state, and
federal regulations Collaborate with the laboratory team to
troubleshoot testing procedures and improve process efficiency
Engage in continuous education to stay updated with the latest in
laboratory techniques and technology Participate in quality control
measures and enhance the lab’s compliance with healthcare
regulations Strong analytical and decision-making skills Proficient
in using laboratory information systems Excellent attention to
detail Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently Strong
written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of current
clinical practices and diagnostics Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified as a
Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Laboratory Technician
(MLT) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or
equivalent
