Job Description: Principal Accountabilities - Responsible for the day-to-day functions of Logistics or Value Add department(s), ensuring goals are met or exceeded. - Supervise day to day operation of a single department (receiving, storing, picking, shipping, special handling) within the distribution/value add center consisting of non-exempt tactical personnel. - Supervise day to day operation of a single department (receiving, storing, picking, shipping, special handling) within the distribution/value add center consisting of non-exempt tactical personnel. - With specific direction from management and HR, participates in staffing, terminations, disciplinary counseling, performance management and development in conjunction with facility management. Typically will need to elevate complex issues. - Report and track department metrics, responding to internal customer inquiries. May need to elevate or work in conjunction with facility management to resolve complex issues. - Other duties as assigned. Job Complexity - Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of business or technical support or production team - Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion - Receives guidance and oversight from manager - Typically does not spend more than 20% of time performing the work supervised - Accountable for the results of small-sized routine support or production operations teams - Solves problems based on set policies and procedures - Trains team members and provides input to employee performance evaluations Requirements: - Demonstrated supervisory experience in a warehousing environment; - Proficient level business process knowledge in receipt, picking, packing and shipping of PC, laptop, network, server, and peripheral components; - Tolerance for the physical demands of working in a warehouse (ability to stand, lift, bend and kneel for extended periods of time in an environment that is not climate controlled) - Proficient knowledge of WMS - Working knowledge and experience with EHS/quality systems (ISO14001, ISO9001, OHSAS18001) - Proficient knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) - Proficient written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills - Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of staff and management and mentor those who report through the position Experience / Education Requires a 4 year degree and 2"4 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
