Tahoe Truckee Sanitation Agency is now hiring an--INVENTORY CONTROL SPECIALISTSalary Range:-- $4,933 - $5,729/month Closing Date: September 23, 2018 To begin the application process, CLICK TO UPLOAD YOUR RESUME Job Description: Under supervision of the Maintenance Foreman, performs a variety of warehouse shipping and receiving, deliveries, inventory control and tasks related to the wastewater treatment facility in a safe, orderly and professional manner. Assists others in the performance of their tasks. Essential Duties: 1. Performs general shipping and receiving duties. 2. Works with staff to ensure a high-performance, customer service-oriented work environment, which supports achieving objectives and service expectations. 3. Delivers, stores and retrieves inventory as required. 4. Maintains inventory records and assists in the requisition of materials, equipment and supplies. 5. Maintains Agency inventory computer program. 6. Participates in performing physical inventories as necessary. 7. Maintains an organized and clean warehouse. 8. Performs snow removal, janitorial duties, general clean-up, and routine maintenance on Agency property as directed. 9. Operates a forklift and/or overhead hoist to relocate supplies or equipment. 10. Operates a maintenance cart to travel within the plant. 11. Performs confined space entries to assist mechanics and/or to maintain facilities. 12. Utilizes a variety of hand and power tools. 13. Performs routine maintenance on vehicles used for deliveries, inclusive of inspections, fueling, fluid filling, etc. for the purpose of maintaining equipment in a safe operating condition. 14. Performs routine maintenance on all other equipment used for loading and unloading, and deliveries in order to maintain equipment in a safe operating condition. 15. Demonstrates attendance sufficient to complete the duties of the position as required. 16. Assists other personnel as may be required in supporting them in the completion of their work activities. 17. Collects and distributes materials as necessary to meet requirements and needs of Agency. 18. Performs hard manual labor. 19. Participates as part of the snow removal team as needed. 20. Performs other duties as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). A minimum of two (2) years' experience in a warehouse performing shipping/receiving/inventory control. Certificates/Licenses: --- Obtain and maintain CA/NV Driver License Class C (if not performing snow removal duties). --- Obtain and maintain CA/NV Driver License CDL Class B with air-brake and tanker endorsements within 12 months (if performing snow removal duties). --- Maintain a driving record that enables insurability on Agency policy is required. --- CPR/First Aid training. Forklift Operator training. --- Hazwoper Technician Level III training. Knowledge and Abilities: 1. To oversee warehouse duties and responsibilities. 2. To read, understand, analyze, and interpret federal, state, and local governmental regulations, technical reports, books, manuals, sketches, plans, etc. 3. To write reports and follow standard operating procedures as directed. 4. To adjust to changing work environments and managing multiple changing priorities calmly and efficiently. 5. To arrive at work as scheduled and to work the shift hours as scheduled. 6. To interact with others (co-workers, supervisors, vendors, members of the public) in a professional manner. 7. To concentrate under pressure to prioritize assignments, meet deadlines and perform multiple tasks. 8. To meet accuracy and productivity requirements to perform the required tasks of the position. 9. To recognize the need for assistance or clarification and seek assistance as needed. 10. To work independently as needed. 11. To operate Microsoft Office and various programs in order to prepare correspondence, presentations, and other documents and make arrangements from brief instructions. 12. To perform all essential clean up and operating duties assigned by supervisor(s). 13. To solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. 14. To interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. 15. To communicate clearly, concisely and politely-both orally and in writing. 16. To make independent decisions and successfully perform the essential functions of the position. 17. To calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, areas, circumferences, and volumes, and to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry in a timely manner. 18. To use supplies and equipment such as portable pumping equipment, vacuum truck, jet truck, pressure washer and other tools required for this job classification. 19. To use self-contained breathing apparatus as required. 20. To maintain all wastewater reclamation plant equipment and the Truckee River Interceptor. 21. To enforce T-TSA's safety polices and standard operating procedures.
