SUPPLY TECHNICIAN (INVENTORY MANAGEMENT) WITH SECURITY CLEARANCE

Job Description:

Duties (1) Responsible for centralized inventory management accountable under the guidance of the United States Property and Fiscal Office (USPFO), to include warehouse assets, supply points, readiness spares, and WRM assets at prescribed frequencies. (2) Ensures accurate asset accountability records are maintained. Performs research to resolve all inventory discrepancies. Conducts inventory research to identify root causes, trends of inventory discrepancies/adjustment, maintains inventory trend charts, and performs corrective actions needed to prevent further out-of-balance conditions. (3) Prepares and publishes the master inventory schedule of all categories of property as outlined in Air Force Manuals and Instructions. Ensures all sections or flights affected receive notification of pending inventories. (4) Responsible for the Inventory Adjustment Register (M10) accountability. Ensures the M-10 is certified and approved by responsible parties. Manages and controls all rejects from item records frozen for inventory. (5) Assist the EAE in performing the semi-annual COMSEC/CCI, Weapons reconciliation, and monthly inspections in accordance with regulations. (6) Provide guidance to other Logistic Readiness sections to ensure compliance with DoD, Air Force and other applicable guidance in inventory management and control. (7) Coordinates with Operations and Compliance section to ensure accurate reporting to the LRS/CC/AO in accordance with regulations. (8) Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. In compliance with Title 32 United States Code, the compatible military skill set is determined by the applicable service manpower requirements. Upon selection, individuals are assigned to the authorized position and its compatible military skill in accordance with Air force skill classification directives, statutes, and National Guard Bureau regulations. The Dual Status technician must obtain and maintain all military skill requirements in regard to training, education, certifications, experience. Compatible Military Assignment: ENLISTED: E2 to E6 COMPATIBLE DAFSC: 2S031, 2S051 *Other Requirements & Conditions of Employment: - National Guard Membership is required. - Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service. - Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation. - Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position. - May be required to successfully complete a probationary period. - Must maintain local network access. - Wear the uniform appropriate for the members' grade and component of the armed forces, maintaining standards of conduct and appearance. - This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience, education, or training in a variety of operations or situations concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 12 months experience, education, or training which demonstrates a thorough knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment. Experience conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstructing records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, or parts. Experience performing routine aspects of supply work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to a limited segment in one of the major areas of supply management. Education There is no specific education requirement for this position. The applicant's record of experience and/or training must show possession of the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position. You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your Training/Educational claims. To receive credit for Training/Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Training/Education requirements for this position. TERM POSITIONS: Temporary-Not to Exceed (TEMP) and Temporary-Indefinite (INDEFINITE) are considered to be TERM positions and are limited in duration to 4 years maximum. Employees reaching maximum TERM appointment limit of 4 years may be terminated. CONVERSION OF TERM (TEMPORARY/INDEFINITE) POSITIONS: Positions advertised as TEMP or INDEFINITE may be non-competitively converted to INDEFINITE or PERMANENT without further competition at a future date contingent upon available funding. For TEMP PROMOTIONS, position may be non-competitively converted upon expiration of the incumbent's USERRA rights.
