Responsibilities
Hamilton Company is seeking an Engineering Technician to support
R&D engineering in developing semi-automated equipment used for
precision fluid measuring and testing. We are looking for those
trained in, or have experience with, electromechanical machines or
fine mechanism service or technician work. The Engineering
Technician will have the chance to work in a fast-paced environment
on industry leading equipment with cutting edge technology.
Other Engineering Technician responsibilities include:
- Candidate works closely with R&D Engineers to develop and
improve new and existing products and processes.
- Define, execute, and document bench tests to verify product
performance requirements.
- Complete root cause investigation on product defects, Customer
Requests, Non-conformances and close out investigation
documentation.
- Analyze product and process limitations and problems,
facilitate root cause analysis, then implement solutions.
- Gather, analyze, and present data to bring conclusions to
R&D Engineering team.
- Assists in the design and fabrication of new products, product
improvements, custom test equipment, and test procedures.
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of basic electrical circuit principles.
- Demonstrates clear and effective written and oral
communication.
- Can conduct independent research.
- Works well on a team.
- Pays close attention to detail.
- Highly organized and comfortable running multiple tests.
- Able to understand and interpret engineering terminology.
- Demonstrates ability to translate scientific jargon into layman
s terms for explanatory purposes.
- Exhibits familiarity with lab safety procedures.
Education/Experience
- Two-year associate degree in engineering technology.
- Professional work experience with electromechanical
assembly.
- Proficient with the following software packages: Microsoft
Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, CAD modeling
- Understanding of basic programming logic (conditional
statements, loops, variables, etc).
- Ability to interpret data, generate graphs, and visually
communicate test results.
- Experience with tools, machine repair and maintenance,
soldering, and wiring
- Experience controlling stepper and servo motors with encoder
feedback
