CorTech is seeking to hire a Shipping Associate for our client in Carson City, NV!Benefits Available!Weekly Pay!Pay Rate - $18-20/hr1st Shift: Monday-FridayJob DescriptionResponsibilities--- Coordinating outbound logistic traffic; ocean, sea, air, and ground to maximize the cost effectiveness and meet or exceed customer expectations.--- Coordinating new freight quotes with the sales department--- Understand and complete customer supplied special document formats such as packing lists, shipping marks, Certificate of Origin, Commercial Invoices, etc.--- Properly and accurately completing all required paperwork to ensure product is ready to ship in a timely manner and conform to corporate policies and comply with import/export laws--- Processing paperwork for domestic and international shipments including obtaining documents from overseas agents, when necessary--- Generating & comparing rates for LTL carriers, UPS & FedEx along with delivery time to determine best method of shipping. Recording shipping data into ERP system.--- Pick and prepare orders for shipment--- Pack orders for shipment to ensure goods arrive safely and undamaged.--- Pack wooden crates pallet boxes full of goods.--- Coordinating with Operations to ensure orders ship on time--- Ensuring all orders shipped meet customer guidelines and deadlines--- Confirming all records for orders are complete and correct prior to shipment--- Coordinate shipping with customs agents for clearance on overseas deliveries--- Assisting with additional vendor data documentation as required--- Safely and properly operate a forklift and pallet jack--- Serve as a backup for receivingRequirements--- HS Diploma--- Experience coordinating outbound logistic traffic for cost effective methods--- Knowledge of freight quotes and documentation of packing lists, shipping marks, Certificates of Origin and Commercial Invoices--- Experience working with customs agents--- Computer skillso Ability to use MS Excel to review shipping reporto Ability to learn and navigate an ERP system
