CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATORAt Brycon, we are looking to expand our team and are currently looking for motivated candidates who want to build a career in construction. Brycon is hiring a motivated, detailed, and safety-orientated Construction Estimator to work with our team in Reno, Nevada.Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide and/or coordinate full estimating services on all types of construction projects.
• Actively build subcontractor/supplier database and relationships to ensure the best pricing
• Manage the effective standardization, organization, preparation, and proper distribution/submission of preconstruction solicitations, qualification submissions, company information, and other preconstruction-related correspondence associated with projects assigned to this role, both upstream and downstream, on behalf of the company
• Prepare properly qualified and clarified conceptual budget
• Build effective relationships with customers, design team, specialty contractors, suppliers, and user groups that reflect and support the company vision, mission, and core values, and meet or exceed the customer's expectations
• Perform turnkey estimating duties from the time of the project's introduction to the company and the beginning of construction
• Establishing a complete understanding of the project scope of work related to the request for proposal
• Soliciting accurate pricing from qualified subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers
• Defining/confirming the scope of work for each subcontractor, vendor, and supplier
• Submitting proposals in a professional manner and in the timeframe and format required.
• Participating in meetings with the project management team to prepare any successful estimates for construction.
• Other duties as assigned
• Employees may be required to work extended hours (more than 8 hours per day), on weekends and will be compensated based on the Fair Labor Standards Act guidelines.Qualifications and Requirements
  • Experience using estimating software and/or excel
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • OSHA 10 Preferred.
  • A valid driver's record preferred
  • This is a safety-sensitive position; the candidate must complete and pass a background check and a ten-panel drug /alcohol testingPerks & Benefits
