Are you ready to embark on a new adventure? Alamon has an exciting
opportunity for a Network Field Technician to join our team! As a
Network Field Technician, you will install, service, and maintain
our client's low voltage category cabling, fiber optic cabling,
communications cabling, and network infrastructure equipment.
This position will be largely based out of the Kansas City area but
willingness to travel to other regions within the United States is
a requirement for this role.
Installation/maintenance of Network Infrastructure Equipment such
Servers (Virtual & Physical)
Storage & Backup Devices
Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (E.g., Nutanix, Cisco UCS)
Power Distribution Units rated 3KVA and higher
Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS)
WAN Optimization Devices
Wireless Access Points
Cables that connect the device to itself, a peripheral, or a
Power Cycling network equipment
Running Diagnostics Commands
Conducting whole unit replacement
Replacing Defective Components
Assist with fault diagnosis and investigation
Configuring Remote Access
Basic Storage Array Configuration
Replacing faulty cables
Installation/termination/testing of a variety of low-voltage
cablings such as Cat5e, Cat6, Ca6A, fiber, and coax.
Perform other related job duties as assigned.
Updating and recording of activities in relevant IT Ticket
Coordinating and agreeing on attendance time and date with the

Minimum Position Qualifications:
CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CCNA certifications or equivalent
knowledge and 3-5 years of work experience
Effective communication and people skills capable of supporting
Exceptional customer-facing skills
Documentation management and ability to use various document tools
such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher), SharePoint,
Time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
Ability to make project critical decisions when necessary
Ability to work unsupervised
Contain a logical and analytical approach to work
Take pride in your work
This position requires visiting Alamon customer site facilities
nationwide. Must be able to work in enterprise, educational,
warehouse, and manufacturing settings.
Indoor and outdoor work will be based off the scope of the
Exposure to dust, odors, gasses, vapors, varying noise levels, and
wet or slick surfaces may be possible. Where appropriate, wears
personal protective equipment (PPE) in compliance with Company
standards and governmental regulations.
This position may require working outdoors in all kinds of weather
conditions and terrain; may work for long periods in hot, cold,
wet, windy, or icy conditions.
Travel throughout the United States for 2-3 weeks at a time is

periods of time.
Must be able to work on ladders and scissor lifts at heights up to
Proficient using industry-standard tools as well as power tools and
able to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
