Customer Advocate/Customer Service Representative (CMC/ITS)
Job Description:
The position will report to the ITS Supply Chain Manager and
directly supports one or more account teams along with CMC
Logistics/Supply Chain Management This role is responsible for
supporting customer relationship activities initiated and led by
the account manager, coordinating internal initiatives to meet
customer needs, facilitating information flow keeping both the
account team and customer informed, managing local customer
consignment inventory, working with freight forwarders for product
delivery and executing order fulfillment. The position is a focal
point for external and internal customer inquiries.
The primary responsibilities of the Customer Advocate, USA are:
Customer Relationship Management
* Primary internal point-of-contact for customer needs and
proactive issue resolution
* Customer set up: establish and maintain customer files ensuring
product specifications, shipping and packaging instructions, and
contact information
* Coordinate timely response to customer inquiries with technical,
operations, logistics, quality, account manager and business
teams
* Provide product information, pricing and availability of
products
* Process price quote and sample requests
* Enter and maintain global customer agreements in CMC systems
* Key metric is responsiveness (timely communication and
execution)
Order Fulfillment
* Process and execute product orders to cash
* Communicate customer's needs to production and shipping
* Handle inquiries regarding acknowledgements, deliveries and
invoices
* Adhere to appropriate regional and international compliance
regulations
* Key metric is supply assurance (on-time and accurate shipments
and billing)
Requirements:
Language - English required - another language is a plus
Behavioral - Effective communication skills; strong interpersonal
abilities; listening and responsive to customer expectations; time
management skills; ability to work in a team environment, high
degree of initiative and proactive issue resolution.
Computer - Proficient skills in QuickBooks, especially quotes and a
Microsoft Windows environment.
Education - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business
preferred.
Experience - ideally min 2 years' experience working with
QuickBooks and as a customer service professional, experience in
supply chain is a plus.
