Job Description:

HOURS: 10am-6:30PM

General Summary and Responsibilities:

Work in shipping department to pull small parcel, freight, and special orders.

Essential Functions:

* On a daily basis, and in an accurate and timely manner, pull small parcel, freight, and special orders, which requires the ability to bend and lift up to 70 lbs.
* Prepare orders with special requirements for shipping, including labeling, marking, and packing of special orders.
* Notify inventory control of shortages/back orders.
* Must be able to determine the priorities for order pulling based on provided guidelines and direction.
* The above listed essential functions require the ability to communicate, as well as follow, verbal and written instructions in English.

Other Duties:

* Process orders using a computer/manifest system. Complete necessary documentation of shipments (waybills, bills of lading, commercial invoices, etc.).
* Stock finished goods in the warehouse.
* Re-Stock customer returns.
* Assist in packing and processing of customer repairs.
* Perform any other general warehouse duties and/or tasks as assigned on an as-needed basis such as assist in the receiving department as well as warehouse organization/cleaning.
* Serve as alternate warehouse driver as needed.

Job Specifications:

Education/Certifications:

High school diploma or GED equivalent

Experience:

* 1 year work experience with 6 months of shipping experience required.
* Forklift experience preferred.

Skills and abilities:

* Must be able to bend and lift 70 lbs. on a regular basis
* Must high level of attention to detail
* Must be able to communicate, as well as follow, verbal and written instructions in English

Contact with others:

Works closely with other members of the distribution team. Also works closely with dealer and consumer services, inventory control, and various other departments.

Scope and impact:

The inability to pull orders in an accurate and timely manner results in poor customer satisfaction. It also results in delayed orders and possibly lost sales. Very costly mistakes may be made when special instructions are not followed, often resulting in fines or charge backs.

Working Conditions:

* Must be able to meet company attendance standards
* Must be able to bend and lift 70 lbs on a regular basis.
* Must be able to walk around and stand during an 8-hour shift
* Must be able to work overtime as required
* Must be able to work indoors as well as outdoors in all types of climates
