Learn more at www.verint.com Overview of Job Function Verint's Sr. Engineer, Software - Cloud designs and develops key cloud native, full-stack software products for the Verint EdgeVMS Cloud platform. The Sr. Engineer works with Product Management, Development, Operations and Client Services to develop creative solutions satisfying technical and business requirements and provides recommendations to management on process, technologies or other improvements intended to benefit productivity, efficiency and/or quality of the solutions. This is a US remote role requiring work hours in EST or CST. Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities + Design, implement, and test enterprise cloud software applications using various cloud native technology and architecture pattern. + Design cloud native software that is secure, scalable, and highly available. + Research new technologies to improve product. + Contribute to definition of component and product architecture. + Participate in sprint meetings and design reviews as part of the agile software development process. + Work on complex projects with minimal supervision. + Guide, mentor and assist less experienced team members. + Write high-quality, standardized code and unit tests that perform optimally in highly concurrent, containerized, cloud-hosted environments. + Create technical design specification documents. + Effectively communicate and collaborate to introduce new technologies, software standards, architecture/design concepts, engineering processes and techniques; and to provide subject matter expertise and technical support to customers and stakeholders. Minimum Requirements + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience. + 5+ years' experience in design and programming large scale applications through all phases of the software development life cycle including testing, implementation, and auditing. + 3+ years of programming experience with a server-side technology like NodeJS/Python/go/C#. + 3+ years of experience with REST API/microservice applications. + 3+ years of experience with SQL/NoSQL databases. + Experience in fault-tolerant and highly available distributed cloud systems. + Experience with cloud architecture design patterns. + Experience with GIT. + Experience with containerized runtime environments: Docker, Kubernetes. + Experience with Cloud hosting services: AWS, Azure, GCP. + Ability to manage multiple priorities and parallel projects with s trong organizational, time management, and project leadership skills. + Ability to take ownership of assignments and drive to resolution. + Successful completion of a background screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search, OFAC, SS Verification, as well as credit and drug screening, where applicable and in accordance with federal and local regulations.
