University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for an Admissions and
Records Assistant 1 for the Enrollment Services department.** This
position does not offer layoff rights and is contingent upon
funding This position is to fill transcript requests. The
Admissions and Records Assistant 1 will download transcript
requests from the National Clearinghouse transcript service,
processes electronic and paper transcript requests, verifies
payment of transcript fees, produces and mails paper and electronic
transcripts, and produces and sends electronic files of transcripts
to NSHE institutions. This position will assist students at the
front counter and over the phone with My Nevada inquires and
process Degree Verify degree confirmation requests.Required
QualificationsThis position requires graduation from high school or
equivalent education and one (1) year of general clerical
experience which included maintaining records and public contact;
OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as
described above.ScheduleThe typical work schedule is Monday through
Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; this is subject to change based on
organizational needs.Compensation GradeGrade 23 (Entry, Step 01
$15.19/hr. - Step 03 $16.43/hr.)In classified service, salary is in
Grade and Step. The Step is determined based on the Nevada
Administrative Code. Salary placement above a Step 01 at initial
appointment is determined based on the recruitment, the candidate's
qualifications, internal equity and budgets. A request to
accelerate salary must be approved by Human Resources and abide by
