University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a Coordinator, Events
and Conferences at the Lake Tahoe Wayne L. Prim Campus. The
Coordinator, Events and Conferences at the University of Nevada,
Reno at Lake Tahoe Wayne L. Prim campus is responsible for managing
a robust line-up of events including meetings/seminar series,
conferences, and large events on behalf of the University. UNR@Lake
Tahoe is a newly acquired additional location of the University of
Nevada, Reno which will serve a vital role in supporting the
overall strategic plan of the University, including, but not
necessarily limited to, progress towards becoming a top 100 R1
institutions; top 50 NSF public research and development
University; move towards achieving AAU membership; establishing
Reno-Tahoe as an epicenter of sustainability education, research,
and leadership; service and community engagement; increase
recruitment and retention of faculty, staff, and students; and
strengthening the University's reputation and brand recognition
nationally and globally. The incumbent will work to bring in and
execute event opportunities and regular conferences which engage
the campus UNR@LT mission. The position is responsible for all
aspects of events and conferences including planning and day of
activities.Required QualificationsHigh School Graduation and four
(4) years of related work experience, Associate's Degree and three
(3) years of related work experience, Bachelor's degree and two (2)
years of related work experience or a Master's degree and one (1)
year of related work experience. Related work experience: Event
coordination and management; program and project
planning.Certification and LicensureDriver's LicenseSchedule or
Travel RequirementsVariable work hours (to include nights and
