Experience and Skills Required
--- Experience with Azure, Snowflake, or other cloud

--- Knowledge of databases, stored procedures, and common scripting
--- Good interpersonal, communication, and organizational

Database Administrator Job Summary:
The Client is looking for an experienced Database Administrator to
join our team! As a Database Administrator at our agency, you will
be responsible for designing, testing, planning, implementing,
protecting, operating, managing and maintaining our court's
databases. Flexible work arrangements available.
Essential Functions Required:
The Database Administrator's duties and responsibilities vary
greatly depending on the project's technical requirements. The
individual will help store and manage data, but duties and
responsibilities may extend to several other areas, such as:
--- Install and maintain the performance of database servers.
--- Work with information security officer to develop processes for
optimizing database security.
--- Set and maintain database standards.
--- Manage database access.
--- Performance tuning of database systems.
--- Install, upgrade, and manage database applications.
--- Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors.
--- Recommend and implement emerging database technologies.
--- Execute database queries
--- Ability to work with data architects and other IT specialist to
set up, maintain and monitor data networks
--- Knowledge of database structure languages, such as SQL or
--- Good multitasking abilities
--- Be available for on-call support as needed.
Knowledge & Skills:
--- Strong command of SQL and SQL server tools
--- Knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and
performance monitoring standards
--- Understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling
--- PowerShell and Unix shell scripting skills
--- Familiarity with SQL Server Analytic Services (SSAS), SQL
Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Integration Services
--- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Education and Work Experience:
--- Three plus years of experience in database administration,
information technology, database architecture, or a related
--- Experience with Windows Server environments
--- Extensive experience with database technologies (MySQL, MS SQL,
PostgreSQL Oracle, MongoDB)
--- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and
experience such as any relevant IT certifications or experience
Qualities the judiciary is looking for:
The Database Administrator will possess excellent interpersonal
communication skills allowing the individual to speak with agency
employees across departments. The applicant will have a proactive
mindset that enables him/her to anticipate changes in data storage
or cybersecurity needs. Further, the Database Administrator will
have an ethical code as this is important as the individual has
access to confidential agency information, and he/she must only
grant access to authorized individuals.
