Job Summary: The purpose of the Utility Gas Leak Survey Supervisor role is to supervise a group of Survey Technicians. The Supervisor will function as a liaison between office staff and field personnel by communicating objectives, providing support, managing tasks, delivering, and receiving maps, and any other tasks required to keep the team efficient, effective, and productive.---The Supervisor reviews and approves time cards and supports the team in the field. This position is responsible for performing safety inspections using GPS and other digital technologies that are used to perform leak detection. The supervisor will be primarily responsible for the accurate collection of data, safe transporting and operating of all equipment associated with safety gas leak inspections. In this position you will work with the Project Manager (PM) to set performance targets and goals. Responsibilities: Distribute work assignments from the Field Operations Manager to Survey Technicians. This includes assignment of leak surveys, CGI's, Pipeline Markers, Corrections, etc. Monitor production and quality reporting of all Survey Technicians reporting to the Supervisor. The Supervisor will work with Survey Technicians to improve any production/quality issues. Receive and respond to first line of technical support issues for Survey Technicians in the group. Supervisor may escalate to Field Operations Manager and/or RM as needed. First pass QA/QC maps as they are turned in by Survey Technicians in the group Track and manage distribution and collection of plat maps via MobileFrame and other tools Manage new leaks that arise from the group. Utilize web maps to facilitate corrections as needed. Utilize FTP for accessing and uploading files, as necessary. Proactively report any issues observed with Survey Technicians to the Field Operations Manager and RM Manage inventory of equipment used by Survey Technicians in the group, including cones, signage, logo magnets, first aid kit, dog repellent spray, batteries, highlighters, etc. Ensure all safety requirements, policies, and procedures are followed and enforced, as necessary. Initiate written discipline as needed. Extreme issues escalated to Field Operations Manager as required. Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of gas leak survey experience Strong communication and organizational ability Ability to lead, motivate and provide direction to geographically dispersed team Ability to prioritize and organize a variety of tasks Proficient in using current technology; smartphone, tablets, MS office tools, etc. Ability to effectively communicate with Hydromax USA employees, clients and the public in an articulate, professional manner Advanced written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated ability to be highly organized High attention to detail Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Work Environment: The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes, or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
