This will be a Lecturer IV/Teaching Professor (non-tenure track) position with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2021.The Risk Management and Insurance program educates and prepares students to launch professional level careers in organizational risk management and insurance. The Program Director oversees the creation and implementation, and ongoing development of the program. Major responsibilities include working with industry partners to develop meaningful student internships and mentoring opportunities, define and implement external outreach and career results, recruit and oversee instructors and facilitators to teach the courses, teach undergraduate and graduate courses, oversee curriculum with curriculum committees to create and improve courses, oversee the documentation required to assess assurance of learning, manage student progression, assist in the advisement of students and evaluate and improve the program. Lecturer StatementThe University of Nevada, Reno reserves the right to hire at any level of Lecturer (I-IV) or Teaching Assistant/Associate/Professor (terminal degree candidates) that is appropriate for the hire. Teaching Professor-Terminal degree and 7 years of experience in a field related to insurance and risk management. Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree preferred. Preference will also be given to candidates who possess strong interpersonal skills and relevant work in program development and University organizational and administrative activities.
