$500 Sign On Bonus after 90 days of EmploymentEssential Job Functions and DutiesSupervise all cooking operations in Banquet operations.Check the methods of preparation and cooking.Verify portioning, sizes and consistency of product.Ensure that all foods are prepared per recipe.Oversee and enforce sanitary behavior and clean appearance of all food preparation and presentation areas according to all health department standards and codes.Develop menus and plan meals for all banquets, parties and other special events.Promote and enforce safety procedures regarding the cooking and holding processes of hot and cold foods.Maintain a positive, professional working relationship with all team members and work closely with front and back of house to promote consistency, quality and excellent service.Other duties as assigned.Skills, Education and Other RequirementsAt least 6 years experience in a high-volume hotel-casino or other high-quality establishment.Experience in all phases of food preparation with an extensive knowledge of soups, sauces, roasting, garnishing, and salad preparation.At least 3 years of line cooking experience. One- year experience in supervisory environment.Ability to get along with all levels of team members in the high stress kitchen environment.Must be at least 21 years of age.Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
