As a member of the pharmacy senior leadership team, this
position is responsible for financial, business intelligence,
business integrity, and analytics as it pertains to aligning the
Pharmacy operations across the continuum of care at Renown Health
with the overall objectives of the organization. This position is
responsible for operational pharmacy leadership for the Renown
Health, including the three acute hospitals.
Nature and Scope
This position has the authority and responsibility for providing
effective and coordinated leadership for the delivery of pharmacy
services. This position provides his/her subordinates with overall
administrative direction related to the pharmacy workforce
development oversight, policy setting, budget preparation, long
range planning and integration of functions within pharmacy
departments. In addition, the incumbent has the authority to make
decisions regarding hiring, disciplining, evaluating, and
terminating department employees and procurement of pharmaceuticals
and supplies within budget guidelines.
The incumbent will work with others to ensure the financial
goals for pharmacy operations and to develop new service lines and
grow the business.
The incumbent will oversee the financial, business, and
operations functions of the pharmacy departments across Renown
The incumbent will coordinate, in collaboration with Finance and
the VP of Pharmacy Services, completion of the annual capital and
operating budget process.
The incumbent will prepare reports to evaluate productivity,
expenditures, and profitability.
The incumbent will develop business plans in conjunction with
other pharmacy leaders to support recognized growth opportunities.
Additionally, through data analysis, they will identify
opportunities for pharmacy business improvements.
The incumbent will lead and/or participate in committee,
workgroup, or team meetings

Requirements - Required and/or Preferred
Must have working-level knowledge of the English language,
including reading, writing and speaking English. Graduate of an
accredited School of Pharmacy. An advanced pharmacy or business
degree and/or ASHP accredited residency are preferred.
A minimum of 5 years hospital pharmacy, equivalent management
experience, administrative fellowship, or PHY2 Pharmacy
Administration Residency required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a State of Nevada Registered
Pharmacist license is required.
Board of Pharmacy Specialties certification is preferred.
Computer / Typing:
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including
Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word and have the ability to use the
computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific
competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online
benefits enrollment, etc.
