Job Description:

Risk Analyst I pay rate $22.10/ hour location of Office: Reno, NV Hours/Shift info: First 2 months of training: regular work hours for Mon-Fri or can also accommodate a Tue-Sat schedule if needed After training: This position will be Tues-Saturday. We start anywhere from 7am-8:30am Tues-Friday (8 hour shift). On Saturday's we work from 7am-3:30/4pm. Must be able to work overtime as well as Saturdays and some holidays. Primary Responsibilities: Applies defined procedures to independently investigate, analyze, and resolve queued fraud and financial risk issues.
Works with limited instructions on defined risk cases.
Makes outbound calls to customers to validate payment transactions.
Writes complete, succinct, and accurate case notes.
Provides empathetic, accurate, and efficient resolutions to very complex and escalated customers.
Handles questions or escalations on suspected fraud from other business units.
Allowed discretion in waiving specific company policies such as pricing and timing.
Maintains or exceeds established standards for investigation procedures.
Works on special projects as needed Takes feedback recommendations on process improvements, while also identifying areas where improvement is needed and contribute to making necessary changes.
Escalates infrequently and only for the most complex, unknown issues.
Works with team to share best practices and ideas on fraud prevention techniques.
Experience in risk mitigation within the payments industry (2-4 years preferred) with the ability to identify the behaviors and signs of fraudulent transactions or accounts.
Excellent research and investigative skills.
Proficient use of technology with exceptional internet research skills.
Ability to make independent and sound decisions and think on your feet in a dynamic environment.
Ability to partner and work seamlessly across the team to effectively document and share problems, opportunities, and solutions.
Ability to successfully manage time to meet tight deadlines.
A self-starter who works independently and resolves issues with minimal supervision.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Communicates (verbal and written) complex issues in ways that the customer easily understands and can successfully apply the solution.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high volume environment Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Positive attitude and team player who demonstrates values.
Enjoys staying on top of breaking fraud schemes/ trends.
CFE certification is a plus! Notes from manager: Payroll today but then Payment; Bill and invoice through Quickbooks.
Function of using multiple systems These folks are looking at Payroll transactions to see what is happening Doctor putting paycheck on a Pcard or a landscaper making $300.00/ hour QuickBooks payroll process Financial and Fraud Risk.
Underwriting and Credit Skills Behaviors vs reports.
EIN lookups, SSN, cross reference billing, payroll, checking account match 15-20 cases a day; then close prior cases Ideal candidate would have Fraud and Risk; However, Banking experience Credit and Underwriting; Financial Analyst Criminal justice background.
Candidate will Start in Payroll RISK then transition to Payment

Credit Analyst I Pay rate $22.67/ hour Location of office: RENO, NV or Woodland Hills, CA Responsibilities: Calculates potential credit/financial risk exposure and quantifies risk assessment for small businesses and commercial entities. Performs credit ratio analysis, constructs credit proposals, and makes limit recommendations based on both data and sound personal judgment. Completes underwriting activities, evaluates financial position, and determines credit worthiness for prospective and existing commercial merchant accounts and portfolios. Conducts risk-based investigations on new and existing merchant accounts -- Investigations may include: contacting small business stakeholders in order to gather and evaluate data needed to complete a thorough risk assessment. Reviews, interprets, and analyzes small business financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, statement of cash flow, etc.) Qualifications: Experience conducting financial analysis and credit risk assessment for small businesses is REQUIRED. Experience in Commercial/Small Business lending is preferred. Risk management experience is preferred. Payment processing experience is preferred. Experience communicating with small businesses/commercial entities/customers over the phone is required.
