Production Associates/Feeder/Packers/Collator Tenders.
The incumbent will feed and pack the machines that convert
paper/blanks into clamshells/take-out paper and bags. Will perform
other job duties as assigned by supervisor.
Proper packaging of all products according to customer
specifications and company's production standards.
Ensures quality of product before being packaged.
Will ensure proper housekeeping is maintained in work area.
Will follow all safety policies and procedures.
Will startup and shutdown production line as necessary.
Ability to keep up with machine output production.
Will communicate production concerns or issues with

Ensure machine is operating at required speed, producing quality
product with minimal waste. Will change paper, glues, inks, as well
as unjam machines as necessary.
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
* Continuously perform all required tasks in a safe manner,
adhering to all established safety rules and procedures. Must take
immediate action to correct and/or report any unsafe conditions and
hazards. * Utilize lockout/tagout as required, following
established policy; ensure guarding is in place at all times. *
Keep work area clean and organized, per standards. * Ensure that
work is being performed in a manner to produce quality products,
according to our quality requirements and specifications. * Follow
all applicable food service policies and procedures. * Follow all
PPE policies, wearing steel toed shoes, hearing protection,
glasses, hair nets/beard nets, etc. as required.
* Meet production targets as set by management. * Inspect bags
for flaws in quality, assembly, print or other problems, and
reject those that do not meet standards set by management.
* Place proper amount of bags into sleeve in the press. *
Inspect bales to ensure they are sealed properly and meet quality
before banding together and placing on skid.
* Band bales together. * Place labels on bales, making sure they
are marked correctly, neatly and are
upright. * Spot check bales to make sure correct amount of bags
(i.e., 250, 500). * Place acceptable bales on skids by using
proper lifting techniques. * Ensure machine is shut off to prevent
machine damage in a timely
fashion. * Must keep up with budgeted machine speed. * Keep
accurate production records, ensuring all required forms are filled
out completely, accurately and legibly. * Safely strip rolls down,
removing liner and/or bands and removing minimal layers of damaged
paper only to minimize waste. * Change roll, make splice by hand,
maneuver roll into position and adhere roll to web on machine. *
Make minor repairs and adjustments to machines as necessary to
ensure quality levels, coordinating with Adjuster Supervisor as
necessary. * Set up one and two color prints and have approved by
Adjuster Supervisor before starting production run. * Start
machinery and watch progress for breakage; notify Adjuster as
needed. * Clean ink pans and wash rollers. * Thread up machinery
properly. * Meet or exceed waste target for each machine. *
Meet/achieve safety, quality, production, waste and housekeeping
goals set forth by management. * Other miscellaneous duties as
assigned by management.
* High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience *
Three years of factory experience is preferred. * Must be able to
pass Bennett Mechanical Test * Must have basic reading, math and
communication skills. * Must have ability to make adjustments and
minor repairs to machinery.
