The Company is headquartered in Katy, Texas and has offices in Reno, Nevada, and Chicago, Illinois.Systems Support Engineer provides IT infrastructure and end-user desktop support to local (Reno) and remote locations with primary responsibility for US Silica's EP Minerals operations.Essential Job Functions:

• Windows 2003-2016 Server and Active Directory administration (account management, Group Policies, File/Print services, access control, etc.)
• Manage Windows based datacenter and remote server backups and restores (NetBackup) to ensure we meet or exceed our committed RTO and RPO kpi's
• Manage and support Windows Server and Desktop operating system patching
• Data Center operations and management including physical and virtual (VMware) server setup and hardware support
• Remote site physical and virtual (VMware) server setup and hardware support
• Primary Hardware and Software Support of all Local end-users and their appropriate desktop, laptop, network peripherals and devices
• Part of a team responsible for the Hardware and Software Support of remote end-users and their appropriate desktop, laptop, network peripherals and devices
• Wireless access management and Support
• VPN management and support
• Local and Wide Area network supportRequired Education, Knowledge, and Skills:
  • High School Diploma
  • Microsoft Systems Engineer
  • VMware VCP
  • ITIL
  • 5+ years in Data Center operations and management experience including server setup and support
  • 5+ years' experience in end user desktop application support
  • 5+ years Windows Active Directory
  • 2+ years VMWare
  • Microsoft 365 Administration
  • Cisco Meraki supportTravel:
    • twice per month or more
