Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the
following; other duties may be assigned:
Hires, trains and supervises Building Electricians
Assures safety compliance
Must be able to perform all job duties of an Electrician
Evaluate electrical problems and decide on a plan of action for
Orders materials and equipment and completes the necessary paper
Coordinates with other departments and electrical engineer to
work as economically as possible
Completes all projects in a timely manner.
Coordinates staff to ensure the highest standards of work.
Meets with inspectors.
Competencies and Job Requirements:
Knowledge of how electrical systems work, understanding of
National Electrical Code.
Knowledge of Relay Logic and PLC based control systems.
Industrial Electrical construction skills
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses,
repair, and maintenance.
Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus,
statistics, and their applications.
Public Safety and Security - Knowledge of relevant equipment,
policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local,
state, or national security operations for the protection of
people, data, property, and institutions.
Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and
processes for providing customer and personal services. This
includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for
