Job Description

The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine invites applications for Chief of Clinical Operations. This position is responsible and accountable for direction, performance and the delivery of all services and clinical operations of University Health. The CCO has administrative responsibility for developing policies and procedures required for the efficient operations of the clinical enterprise. This position collaborates with department chairs, medical directors, and oversees shared services and the quality assurance functions. In addition the position is responsible to ensure patient flow models are efficient to provide an exceptional opportunity for UNR Med’s academic mission in educating our resident and medical students while providing excellent patient services.

The CCO will standardize to the extent possible throughout the organization and adjust as needed for specialty practice. This position has final authority over staff who provide clinical care, treatment and services, and responsible to provide increased customer satisfaction. This position will recommend and implement innovative structures and delivery models, which support the safe and effective provision of patient care, treatment and services and the development and support a physician practice environment, enabling the recruitment and retention of high functioning staff.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and five (5) years of related professional work experience OR

Master's Degree and three (3) years of related professional work experience OR

Doctorate Degree and one (1) year of related professional work experience.

RN, BSN, PA r similar clinical professional degree required.

Knowledge of academic environment preferred.
