The Associate Legal Counsel for Renown Health will provide legal
oversight and guidance to all levels of the organization.This
position will advise leadership on legal issues of importance to
the health network’s operations, and supervise the representation
of the health network in many legal proceedings.

Minimum Qualifications: Requirements – Required and/or
Must have working-level knowledge of the English language,
including reading, writing and speaking English. Juris Doctorate
from an accredited law school
The incumbent must possess the following knowledge, skills and
At least 5 years experience in healthcare law
matters.Specifically, must possess extensive experience in the
(1) drafting, negotiating and analyzing legal issues related to
physician andhealth care operations contracts, including medical
director, call coverage, physician recruitment and hospital based
(2) research and analysis with respect to compliance with the
federal and state health care laws and regulations (including Stark
Laws, federal Anti-kickback Statute,False Claims Act, Civil
Monetary Penalty Statute, HIPAA and state health records privacy
matters,federal health care program requirements, including the
Medicare and Medicaid programs.
(3) accreditation and licensure issues and medical staff and
(4) patient care, risk management and bioethical issues;
(5) excellent oral and written communication skills,
interpersonal skills, and negotiating skills.
(6) detailed knowledge of federal and state laws applicable to
healthcare providers and plans.
(7) knowledge of judicial and administrative agency systems and
(8) advanced knowledge of law applicable to the delivery
of healthcare services.
This position does not provide patient care.
Member in good standing of at least one US state bar with
ability to obtain Nevada Bar.
Computer / Typing:
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including
Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word and have the ability
to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for
