Job Description:

Position Purpose The Provider Recruiter is responsible for all provider recruitment activities and functions to ensure a continual pipeline of high quality, excellent qualified provider candidates. Activities associated in full management of the recruitment process include relationship building, sourcing, outreach, conference and career fair attendance, initial candidate contact and vetting, consulting services with hiring leaders, preliminary verification and references, offer preparation and contraction negotiations. The incumbent will work in close collaboration with all Provider Recruitment team members, hiring leaders and Renown Medical Group Executive Leadership Team members as well as other applicable Renown Health departments involved in the hiring and onboarding process. Nature and Scope The Provider Recruiter performs all duties in a manner that promotes the organizations mission, values and philosophies. The Incumbent must maintain and exhibit, at all times, high standards of courtesy, performance, human relation skills and personal and professional appearance. This position requires a flexible schedule and ability to meet deadlines and accommodate concurrent recruitment priorities. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • In collaboration with Renown Medical Group Leadership and physicians, understands all provider recruitment activities to meet the organizations strategic goals as well as the needs of our community. Maintains a general working knowledge of Renown Health as an Organization and relevant specialty departments, community relationships, affiliations and strategic goals.
  • Maintains and Exhibits comprehensive knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of Physicians and APCs within Renown Medical Group Specialty areas.
  • Responsible for or direction of sourcing and vetting functions in assigned specialty areas including outreach visits, advertising/marketing, cold/warm prospect calling, initial contact, reference checks, and preliminary verification of candidates.
  • Responsible for orchestration of phone interviews, video conferences and site visits for candidates and family.
  • Responsible for partnering with RMG Leadership to prepare and extend offers and facilitates contractual negotiations.
  • Maintains working knowledge of Provider Compensation and Fair Market Value methodologies.
  • Guides all provider recruitment activities in a manner that confirms with applicable laws and regulations. Fosters and preserves relationship with providers to ensure quality onboarding experience. In conjunction with Provider Recruitment Coordinator, assists with the completion of all necessary aspects of onboarding including, State Licensures, Credentialing and Privileging and Human Resource requirements.
  • Maintains close ties and relationship with residency training programs (local and regional) as recruitment source.
  • Manages and maintains database and CMS tools for data management of all prospects and candidates who are identified throughout recruitment process to foster accuracy of reporting.
  • Maintains and manages pertinent physician recruitment expenses management as required.
  • Continually works to identify, improve on processes, procedures, policies and techniques to recruit providers and better serve department customers.
  • Maintains physician and APC retention strategies to include, but not limited to, surveying providers regarding the recruitment process and their experience at regular intervals during their first year of practice and providing feedback to leadership.

    In additional to general provider recruitment responsibilities, incumbent may be required to focus primarily on sourcing efforts to support the hiring pool from which recruits are mined. Responsibilities of the sourcing specialist will include:

    • Generation of leads, potential prospects, and eventual candidates for warm pass to Provider Recruiter by utilization of various sourcing channels and research methodologies from social medial, databases, print materials, phone and on-line sources.
    • Engages with Manager of Provider Recruitment, Provider Recruiter, and hiring leader to develop strategic sourcing plan based on strategic initiatives or replacement positions.
    • Develops expertise in understanding the effectiveness of various sourcing channels. Utilizes tools, resources, job boards, resume databases, applicant tracking system, social media, phone research, cold calling, development of target lists and technologies, to identify, attract, acquire and build lasting relationships with provider talent.
    • Identifies and develops relationships with provider focused organization, residency and training programs, alumni groups and colleges to foster networking opportunities to attract provider talent.
    • Responsible for cold calling activities and conversion of warm leads to eventual prospects/candidates.
    • Effectively leverages referral sourcing for additional leads and pipeline building.
    • Sources, screen and pre-qualifies provider talent to conduct warm hand off to Provider Recruiter,
    • Research and recommend additional advertising, job boards, and networking sources available, update and refresh postings.
    • Responsible for tracking and reporting on Provider Recruitment Sourcing.
    • Use of online and social media tools for recruitment, sourcing and analysis.

      Requirements - Required and/or Preferred Name Description Education: Bachelors Degree preferred. Must have working-level knowledge of English language, including reading, writing and speaking English. Experience: Minimum of one to three years of sourcing or recruiting experience in a corporate or search firm environment required. Experience in healthcare industry or direct experience with physician recruitment, specialized technical or executive recruitment, or provider relations highly preferred. License(s): None. Certification(s): Association of Staff Physician Recruiters (ASPR) preferred within two (2) years of hire. Comparable recruitment certification may be considered in lieu of ASPR. Computer / Typing: Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
