Job Description:

The Human Resources (HR) Coordinator is a hands-on representative of the human resources office whose job is to help facilitate all basic human resource functions. The HR Coordinator reports to the Director of Human Resources and is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to internal DRI customers and external contacts including applicants. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensures the confidentiality of HR related information is maintained at all times;
  • Provides exceptional customer service and demonstrates professionalism in-person, on the phone and in on-line communication;
  • Coordinates full-cycle recruiting for hourly and non-exempt and exempt positions throughout DRI;
  • Assists Employment Manager with larger, executive searches;
  • Conducts new hire on-boarding in a welcoming and professional manner;
  • Ensure continued compliance with new employee training;
  • Processes I-9 employment verifications using E-verify;
  • Verifies faculty education upon employment;
  • Maintains HR related data (both paper and electronic) in an organized and compliant manner;
  • Collaborates with other departments to ensure HR functions are completed in a timely and professional manner;
  • Provides hands-on Workday support to DRI internal customers;
  • Conducts form maintenance and website editing;
  • Supports all areas of the HR office and all HR team members, as needed;
  • Notary Public duties; and
  • Performs other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications
    • 3 years of full-time HR coordinator or relevant work experience, or an Associate degree and 1-2 years of HR coordinator or relevant experience.
    • Experience and familiarity with recruitment process and practices.
    • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
    • High level of proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
      • Professionalism demonstrated through discretely and confidentially handling personnel matters and information.
      • General knowledge of Federal and State employment laws, including clear understanding and application of policy and procedure manuals. Preferred Qualifications
        • Familiarity with Workday or comparable HRIS.
        • Nevada Notary Public.
        • Familiarity with E-Verify.
        • SHRM-CP, PHR, or other HR professional certifications. Conditions of Employment
          • Employment is contingent upon a successful completion of a background check.
          • This position requires the ability to perform physical tasks of occasionally lifting 25 lbs., moving, lifting, or packing files for shipping or storage. Sitting for long periods and periodic stooping and bending.
            Compensation Grade/Benefits This is a Grade 30 Technologist position with a starting minimum starting salary of $39,999.
