You will leverage and integrate all of the pertinent expertise and capabilities of the HR function to achieve desired business outcomes. You will be responsible for strengthening the leadership team of each department by providing coaching and counsel to managers to further develop their leadership capability and capacity. You will partner with senior executives and leaders to design and scale an organization capable of delivering against the company's strategic goals and objectives.Essential Job FunctionsDrive CDI Business Strategies: Be a part of the Executive and Leadership Teams that develop and implement the company's business strategies and goals. Work closely with the management team to ensure employee's clarity about CDIs business vision and help to build a culture of passion for that mission.Employee Relations: -Responsible for managing all employee relations issues. Work with managers, employees, and appropriate others to respond to all employee relations issues in ways that foster a safe and productive working environment. Maintains compliance with all local, state and federal regulations and laws relating to Employment Law.Organizational Effectiveness: Identify gaps hindering achievement of business outcomes and ensure business is focused on solving root cause issues. Drive increasingly complex initiatives to improve organization effectiveness. Coach, train and foster management capability. Function as a strategic advisor to the CEO on HR issues.Talent and Workforce Planning: Lead efforts to identify potential successors for critical roles and leadership positions. Drive initiatives in partnership with executives to attract, retain, and develop key talent. Establish clarity about critical roles and develop strategies to address retention risks and skill gaps, ensuring depth of bench strength for key roles across the Company.Recruiting and Onboarding: -Drive recruitingfor all positions in the company. Maintains current job descriptions, manages job postings on internal and external job sites, partners with hiring managers on the interviewing and job offer process, and drive the initial new employee onboarding process.Recognition and Rewards: Create insightful approaches to employee recognition and rewards; can assess market data to drive optimal compensation decisions and is innovative about ways outside of compensation to provide meaningful rewards and recognition.Performance Management: -Accountable for the successful implementation of the life cycle of the performance and compensation review process across CDI. This includes being knowledgeable of Company budgets and demonstrating the ability to utilize funds effectively during the annual cycle. Shows good judgment in knowing when to advocate out-of-guideline salary recommendations. Demonstrated ability to develop recommendations on executive compensation.Culture and Employee Experience: Help establish and foster the culture, consistently driving improvement in programs, and related training/coaching engagements, in order to develop a healthy, cohesive, collaborative, fun, fair and equitable workplace.Communication: -Partnering with Marketing, manages all internal communication including weekly electronic newsletter, video monitors throughout the facilities, announcing organizational changes in the company and all-company meetings.Benefits: -Oversees the Company's benefit package including 401k plan, health insurance, and all other employee benefits.Safety: -Manages the Employee Safety Program.Other:

  • Directs, develops, and mentors human resources staff, including receptionist, to carry out functions of the department in both Reno and Seattle.
  • Oversees the annual update of the Affirmative Action Plan.
  • Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Resources, and/or AA degree with equivalent work experience. PHR and/or SPHR certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years progressive experience in a breadth of HR disciplines and 5 to 8 years managing HR teams in a direct leadership capacity.
  • Specialized training in recruiting and staffing, wage and salary administration, and employee relations. ADP Workforce Now experience preferred. -
  • Must have a high level of multi-task skills and be able to handle interruptions with tact and have strong interpersonal skills and ability to get along with diverse personalities and cultures.
  • Excellent recording of interactions involving employees and their advisors and must maintain high level of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Well-developed administration and organizational skills. Ability to resolve unusual personnel problem. Ability to have a sense of fairness and consistency, communicate effectively utilizing excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, must be customer service oriented, but assertive/persuasive, basic accounting knowledge.
  • Knowledgeable in applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Experience working for a company that manufactures consumer products in the US highly preferred.People Management ResponsibilitiesSupervises HR Managers in Reno and Seattle . Acts as a liaison and advisor to the Activity committee. -This is an on-site position based in Reno, with travel as needed to the Seattle offices. -
