General Summary of Job DutiesAs the Broiler Cook -you will be supporting TiAmo's Restaurant.Essential Job Function and Duties

  • Be responsible for preparing menu items as directed by the recipes provided by the Sous Chef and or Executive Chef.
  • Be responsible for quality and proportion size.
  • Ensure that the quality and presentation of food products meet company standards.
  • Work at least one station, maintaining the highest quality in finished product.
  • Practice proper food handling.
  • Practice proper knife handling skills.
  • Use and apply proper kitchen safety procedures and basic cooking skills.
  • Keep workstations always clean during service time.
  • Disinfect and sanitize cutting boards and worktables.
  • Ensure kitchen and Health Department sanitation requirements are always maintained.
  • Perform all duties to company standards and policies.
  • Ensure that no food leaves the kitchen without a ticket, including manager's meals.
  • Properly wraps, labels, dates and stores all food items in their proper areas.
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable Company and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintain an open line of communication with Management.
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with guest, fellow team members, and vendors.
  • Ability to accept performance feedback in a professional manner.
  • Regular attendance to all scheduled shifts is considered an essential function of the job.
  • Arriving on-time for all scheduled shifts is considered an essential function of the job.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to maintain a clean and professional appearance.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to successfully work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule and weekends.
  • Must have job related tools.Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.Must present a well-groomed appearance.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • The ability to maintain composure in a potentially stressful environment.
  • The ability to successfully interact with all levels of team members and management.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, with variable overtime.
  • High School Diploma and/or GED preferred.
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Machinery, Work Equipment, Programs, Software, Hardware UsedOperate and maintain all equipment in accordance with established safety policies and procedures.Powered by JazzHR
