Job Description:

The dishwasher's goal is to maintain the highest professional standard of cleanliness while simultaneously keeping up with a high volume of dishes and cleaning tasks. You will keep the dish area clean, organized, and safe for yourself and other staff who are in the kitchen. This job description is intended to be a broad description of duties.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Reliable attendance on all scheduled workdays.
• Wash dishes, glasses, flatware, pots, and/or pans by machine or hand.
• Keep up with high volume of soiled dishes and utensils.
• Empty and clean trash and recycling cans.
• Sweep and scrub floors daily or as spills occur.
• Maintain clean and sanitary workstation at all times.
• Reliable attendance on all scheduled workdays.
• Assist in food preparation during slow periods.
• Perform additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by chef at any time.
• Assist in the execution of any food and beverage special events and catering.
• Place clean dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other equipment in designated storage areas.

    Qualifications & Knowledge:
    
    • 1 years' experience in a high-volume kitchen & or dishwashing preferred
    • Must have New Mexico Food Handler Certificate prior to or within 30 days of hire.
    • Ambition to grow into higher position
    • Ability to communicate in a positive and productive manner while tasking
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and evenings.
      
      Work Environment:
      
      Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. TSVI is located in a high altitude alpine environment. Position may require travel on uneven, snow packed, or icy terrain and may be exposed to wet, cold and/or humid conditions. Wet surfaces exist and sharp objects are located throughout the work area.
      
      Physical Demands of Position Include:
      
      Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. 90-100% of the time will be spent standing, walking, reaching, talking, hearing, tasting, and smelling. 25-50% of the time may be spent climbing/balancing, being exposed to hot/humid conditions and the outdoors including winter weather conditions. Occasionally sitting - less than 15% of the time.
