General Summary of Job DutiesThe Casino Operations Manager manages, supervises, and coordinates work activities of the Slot Floor personnel, Table Games personnel, MOD staff and Slot Technicians. Provides input and makes decision regarding machine purchases, location, and conversions of the slot floor, along with purchase and location of new Table Games product. The Casino Operations manager will develop budgets, operating strategies, monitor execution of strategies, performance goals and objectives for each area of responsibility. The position will also assist the General Manger with special projects and property initiatives. Essential Job Responsibilities and DutiesMaintain a high quality of guest service according to Jacobs Entertainment, Inc. Mission Statement and F.A.S.T. Track Values Statement.Supervise the Manager on Duty program including but not limited to create and modify schedules, provide leadership and training to members of the MOD program and work with MOD staff to ensure the slot floor and table games operations are running efficiently.Responsible for planning, controlling, communicating, and implementing procedure and processes for the overall efficient operations of areas of responsibility.Prepare and effectively manage department budgets and strategic plans.Establish standards of performance and ensure standards of quality, teamwork, and customer services in areas of responsibility.Monitor schedules and activities to maintain efficiency.Work on any special projects, company initiatives, and training as directed by the General Manager.Analyze and interpret department needs and results.Recognize and solve problems in a timely and proactive manner.Effectively manage people, processes and procedures and adhere to deadlines.Promote a positive work atmosphere, including support and assistance to all the management and staff.Observe and analyze current and future competitive properties.Contribute to management shift coverage and floor representation.Create and distribute weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports to assist executive management in making slot and table games buying decisions.Create, monitor, and initiate new customer service initiatives to increase customer service and overall department efficiency.Performance management for Slot department, Table Games, Manager on Duty and Assistant Slot Manager.Supervise Slot Attendants, Slot Technicians, Slot Supervisory (Dual-rate), Slot Tech Supervisor, Table Games Manager, Table Games Supervisors (Dual-rate), Dealers, and Manager on Duty (CSM).Thorough knowledge of applicable Company and departmental policies and procedures as well as the willingness to learn and follow any policy or procedure that may be introduced in the future.Adhere to all appearance and uniform standards.Maintain an open line of communication with Management.Maintain a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with guest, fellow Employees, and Vendors.Ability to accept performance feedback in a professional manner.Regular attendance and arriving on time to all scheduled shifts and mandatory meetings.Other duties as assigned. Skills, Education and Other RequirementsBachelor 's degree or equivalent work experience.4 years of supervisor/management experience.5 years of experience in the Slot department.4 years of supervisor/manager experience in Table Games.
