Advanced Practice Provider APP Outpatient Cancer Services
Company: Nurse Practitioner
Posted on: October 10, 2018
This trusted and valued health system is actively interviewing for an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join its Outpatient Oncology Services team. Working in an established clinic practice, with compassionate and experienced NP and PA providers, you’ll get to help some of the Tahoe area’s most fragile patients.
The Outpatient Oncology Clinic APP will join a really fantastic community-based health care organization along the California / Nevada border near Lake Tahoe. The Outpatient Oncology Clinic, where the NP or PA will be based, is associated with an outstanding organization which is constantly recognized for its commitment to clinical quality and patient satisfaction.
Sincerely trusted by the patients who come here, this Outpatient Oncology Clinic employs an excellent team of providers and support staff. Offering progressive clinical trials in association with an academic medical center, as well as strong patient education services and community / survivorship support, it’s no wonder this center has such a great reputation. The Advanced Practice Provider, whether a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, will take a provider role in an organization that offers a full range of cancer diagnosis, treatments, and support.
While the Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) will report to an attending physician, you’ll also get to practice with a large amount of autonomy. Working in collaboration with Oncology Certified Registered Nurses (ONC), Biotherapy & Chemotherapy Nurse Specialists (ONS), and practitioners who specialize in Radiation Oncology, you’ll play an integral role in building each patient’s assessment and treatment plan.
Using the most advanced and current patient care guidelines, the Outpatient Oncology APP will assess health status for new patients. Working collaboratively with Navigators and physicians, you’ll help guide patients to appropriate diagnostic tests, you’ll help interpret results, and you’ll serve as the patient’s advocate in developing a progressive treatment plan. You’ll get meaningful interaction with the patient’s family, an interdisciplinary team of caregivers, and health educators to lead patients through the process of battling cancer.
The Lake Tahoe Area, known for its history, its beauty, and it fun, has something for everyone. If you’re the type who loves the outdoors, you’ll never run out of fun, adventurous activities. Hiking, biking, fishing, boating, skiing, and just about anything else await you around every corner. When you’re not out on the trail, you will enjoy historic mining museums, great wineries, and nightlife like only a mountain town could deliver. When the Oncology NP or PA is done playing in the water, they can take a short drive and play the slots and tables of South Lake Tahoe or Reno, Nevada’s casinos.
The ARNP Nurse Practitioner will support and oversee the operations of a busy Clinic. You’ll provide clinical support to small, dedicated team of providers, and you’ll provide healthcare support to a vibrant coastal community. In these pursuits, you’ll be supported by a generous benefits package and competitive compensation.
