Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: CVICU - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/16/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Title: RN – CVICU (Travel Nurse) Location:Reno, NV 89511 Shift: 12-hour Day Shift (06:45 – 19:15) Travel Requirement: Must live within 100 miles of facility Job Summary: We are seeking highly skilled and experienced CVICU Registered Nurses to provide critical care for cardiac patients in a fast-paced ICU environment. This role requires expertise in hemodynamics, arrhythmia management, and the use of advanced cardiac support devices. Key Responsibilities: - Provide direct patient care in a CVICU setting, including patients with POD 0 Open Hearts. - Manage and monitor patients on IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump) and Impella devices. - Assess and interpret patient conditions; provide expert clinical analysis and interventions. - Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, coordinate patient care, and delegate tasks appropriately. - Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and standards of practice. - Adhere to NIHSS, BLS & ACLS protocols. Required Qualifications: - Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Nevada. - Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience. - Proven experience with POD 0 Open Hearts, IABP, and Impella devices. - Strong organizational, leadership, and critical thinking skills. - Thorough knowledge of arrhythmia management, hemodynamics, and pathophysiology.
