Adelphi is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to provide services at a correctional facility in Herlong, California. The ideal candidates will provide comprehensive medical care to the inmate population while ensuring compliance with established healthcare standards. Job Quick Facts: Ref: GS-4351-01 Specialty: Nurse Practitioner- Primary Care Location: Herlong, California Facility Type: Correctional Facility Job Type: Contract Contract Term: Potential for a long term contract Schedule: 40 hours/week, Shifts: 7am-3:30pm Rate: $80/hr Requirements: Valid, unrestricted NP license in California or Nevada BLS (AHA) Minimum 12 years of family medicine or urgent care experience Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive medical and psychosocial assessments. Manage acute and stable chronic conditions. Perform physical, dental, and mental health examinations. Administer medications and obtain IV access. Provide emergency care and life-saving procedures. Assist in minor surgical procedures (e.g., sutures, I&Ds, cyst removals). Interpret diagnostic tests, labs, EKGs, radiographs. Prescribe treatments/medications after physician consultation.
