  • Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience required. Must pass a telemetry competency exam, to include identifying and measuring telemetry rhythm strips.
  • Traveler will be expected to work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years)
  • Unit Description: 29 bed unit that is staffed with RN's and CNA/CCT's. Patient population is a combination of tele and medical status patients. Patient population includes treatment of various medical conditions.

  • Position Purpose: This position provides optimal patient care utilizing knowledge and skills within the context of the nursing process. The incumbent is accountable for individualized patient outcomes over an entire episode of care.
  • Nature and Scope: This position diagnoses and treats human responses to health problems. Demonstrates the cognitive and psychosocial needs specific to the population to be served. Coordinates care between other professionals as needed.

      • Schedule Information
      • Shift: 3x12, Days, 0645 - 1915
      • Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
      • Call is not required
      • Travelers may be required to float to the needs of the organization up to their competency level
      • May be required to work major holidays
      • Required to pick up one additional shift during schedule period
      • Schedule varies based upon department needs, can include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Facility Department/Cost Center: Sierra 1 Medical Surgical / Telemetry (SMT) - 200118
        • 29 bed unit staffed with RN's and CNA/CCT's
        • Ancillary staff includes a Rapid Response Team, phlebotomists, EKG technicians, Respiratory Therapists, and Physical and Occupational Therapists
        • Patient population includes a combination of tele and medical status patients, all tele patients are monitored remotely by a CCT
        • Treats a variety of medical conditions such as COPD, sepsis, COVID and other respiratory illnesses, ETOH withdrawal, DM, GI bleed, etc.

          • Travelers may be required to float to the needs of the organization up to their competency level
          • Renown has the right to call off, without penalty, 48 hours, for low census per 13-week contract. This may be full or partial shifts
