  • Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of Telemetry experience required. Must pass a telemetry competency exam to include identifying and measuring rhythm strips. Experience with open heart/transplant patients preferred, but not required.
  • Unit Description: 38-bed unit that is staffed with RN's, CNA's, Critical Care Techs (CCTs) and Advanced Care Techs (ACTs). Patient ratios are determined by patient acuity/workload and are typically 1:4 up to 1:6.
  • Position Purpose: This position provides optimal patient care utilizing knowledge and skills within the context of the nursing process. The incumbent is accountable for individualized patient outcomes over an entire episode of care.
  • Nature and Scope: This position is challenged to diagnose and treat human responses to health problems. The incumbent must provide optimal patient/resident care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of adolescent, adult, and geriatric residents and families. Demonstrates the cognitive and psychosocial needs specific to the population to be served and meets standards of quality as measured by the unit/department age specific competency standards.

      • Schedule Information
      • Shift: 3x12, Nights, 1845 - 0715
      • Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
      • Call Requirements: Call is not required
      • May float to Intensive Care Units for a telemetry/medical appropriate assignment, medical-surgical units, as well Renown South Meadows.
      • May be required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift during schedule period.
      • Schedule varies based upon department needs.
      • Schedule can include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • 38 bed unit staffed with RN's, CNA's, CCTs, and ACTs.
        • Patient ratios typically 1:4 up to 1:6.
        • Ancillary staff includes Rapid Response Team, phlebotomists, EKG technicians, and Respiratory Therapists.
        • Patient population includes treatment of CHF, Alcohol Withdrawal, NSTEMIs, sepsis, dysrhythmias, PNA, COPD, Covid, care of the post-procedure patients
        • Medications include non-titratable cardiac medication drips (Cardizem, Lasix, Nitro, etc).

          • Travelers may be required to float to the needs of the organization up to their competency level.
          • Renown has the right to call off, without penalty, 48 hours, for low census per 13-week contract. This may be full or partial shifts.
