Job Description:
Position Purpose This position provides leadership and assumes
accountability for appropriate patient placement and resource
utilization through collaboration with Renown Management, Clinical
Staff, Unit Staff, and Transfer Center Staff. Facilitates patient
flow into and within the Renown facilities. Connects the medical
staff of Renown with referring physicians. Facilitates effective
two-way communication and resolution of operational issues in
support of Renowns goals and objectives. Provides support for all
staff members while delivering quality service through a team
oriented, collaborative approach. Nature and Scope Provides support
to Renowns management and patient care teams by collaborating
patient transfer acceptance and throughput at Renown acute
facilities. Frequently and effectively communicates with all levels
of the care team (Patient, Directors, Managers, Clinical Team
Leaders, Nurses, Patients, Families, Physicians and other hospital
Team Members). The individual must demonstrate leadership skills
and act as a mentor and facilitator to professional nursing
colleagues and other team members. Provides support to management
and staff through communication, organizing, prioritizing,
facilitating, and problem solving, in order to ensure the success
of appropriate patient placement, excellent customer service, and
appropriate throughput. Must demonstrate competence in a fast
paced, stressful environment due to demands from multiple sources.
In this unpredictable environment, the individual must possess the
ability to organize, prioritize and reprioritize shift priorities
as needed. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the
principles of growth and development through the life span, possess
the ability to assess data reflective of the patients status,
interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each
patients requirements relative to his or her age and specific needs
to achieve optimal patient placement and subsequent flow within the
facility according to departmental policies, procedures, and
guidelines. The individual must demonstrate a strong knowledge base
in critical care and emergency treatment, assessment, and phases of
patient care. Requires substantial computer work while in a seated
position in performance of duties. Utilizes advanced technical
equipment as needed. The individual must be able to manage
stressful environments as this position requires quick
decision-making with multiple competing priorities. This position

Qualifications Education: Must have working-level knowledge of the
English language, including reading, writing and speaking English.
Appropriate education to obtain and maintain State of Nevada
Registered Nurse licensure. Bachelor of Science in Nursing
preferred. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of Acute Care nursing
experience or 2 years of Critical Care or ED nursing experience
required. License(s): Ability to obtain and maintain a State of
Nevada Registered Nurse license. Certification(s): Current BLS /
CPR certification required. Computer / Typing: Must be proficient
with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel
and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete
online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access
online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment,
etc.
