Tax ManagerThe Applied Companies has partnered with a well-established CPA firm in Reno, NV.They are seeking a highly motivated Tax Manager. As the Tax manager you will be responsible for overseeing the tax department, making sound decisions, and managing clients with their tax needs.You will be joining a company that offers a positive, professional, and pleasant working environment, great benefits, and a very competitive compensation package.What the Tax Manager will do:

• Manage and facilitate the preparation of the federal and state tax forms.
• Providing the absolute best tax planning and practical approaches to clients' particular tax needs and situation.
• Manage and facilitate tax provision and tax compliance.
• Review complex income tax returns.
• Find and implement opportunities for process improvement in company tax procedures. - Supervise and mentor tax staff.What the Tax Manager will need to have:
  • - Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
  • - Master's degree in accounting Preferred
  • - CPA certification required.
  • - 5 - 7+ Years of current experience in a public accounting firm
  • - Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical and research skillsAdditional Skills:
    • Experience with tax research software such as CCH and Bloomberg.
    • Experience in tax compliance software, such as CCH Access Tax and CCH Engagement
    • Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance and procedures for corporations, estates, and trusts
    • U.S. federal, state, and local reporting requirements
    • Ability to meet deadlines and solve problems.
    • Concierge client service along with excellent client relationships
