apply now. We are currently seeking a Data Management Architect -
REMOTE to join our team in Reno, Nevada (US-NV), United States
(US). A Data Management Architect will be part of the Data
Management Practice team and provide consultative and advisory
services on client end-to-end data processes. The Data Management
Architect will participate in client requirements definition,
analysis, and the design of logical and physical data models, data
analytic assessments, metadata management, and overall data
governance.
Primary Job Responsibilities
*Evaluate client need and define the scope and sizing of data
management work.
*Provide data management recommendations from client engagement
workshops, existing applications, data sources, documentation, and
business need.
*Responsible for translating business requirements into technology
solutions.
*Use modeling techniques including Data Flow, ER Diagram,
Conceptual, Logical, Physical, and Metamodels.
*Capture technical metadata through data modeling tools
*Analyze and translate business requirements into conceptual and
fully detailed logical and physical data models.
*Work with solutions architects, subject matter experts, and data
stewards and lead data discovery discussions to capture business
requirements and map requirements to logical and physical data
modeling solutions.
*Conduct data model reviews with team members.
*Identify and document business logic & mapping rules needed to
transform data before loading it into the target system.
*Anticipating possible problems and resolving them before they
impact users when possible
*Ensure database designs efficiently support BI and end user
requirements.
*Work with client Analytics and Business Intelligence teams to
understand strategic requirements. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant
fields with a combination of 10+ years of IT Architecture and
Database management experience:
* Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Architect supporting
Enterprise Data and Integration Applications or similar role for
large scale enterprise solutions.
*Minimum of 3 years of development and/or DBA experience in
Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) and Data Modeling
(logical and physical data modeling).
*Minimum of 2 years hands on experience in data modeling tools such
Erwin or other industry standard tool.
*Minimum of 2 years data governance, data quality and metadata
management fundamentals and technologies. Other Beneficial
Experience
*Strong experience in applying industry best practice for Data
standardization, Data cleansing, Data Management, Data
Visualization and unified information model across the enterprise
spanning multiple systems from operational stores, cloud enabled
systems and digital touchpoints.
*Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and standards
(DMBoK).
*Fluent in both normalized and dimensional model disciplines and
techniques.
*Hands experience with Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, R, Python or Cypher.
*Skills to assess and analyze existing database design solutions to
ensure optimal designs for query performance.
*Knowledge of key Business Intelligence and Data Analytics tools,
such as Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx and/or others
*Motivation to lead efforts, communicate effectively, and bring
projects to closure on time with positive results.
*An ability to simultaneously manage and lead data architecture
deliverables across multiple swim lanes.
*Data-driven mentality. Self-motivated, responsible, conscientious,
and detail oriented.
*Excellent verbal and written communication skill including the
ability to describe complex technical concepts in relatable
terms.
*Ability to manage and prioritize multiple workstreams and
confidence in making decisions about how to prioritize work
efforts.
*Knowledge of RDBMS, Document Stores (NoSQL), Warehouses (e.g.
SnowFlake), Big Data (e.g. Databricks, Spark, etc.) and Data
Visualization (e.g. PowerBI), next-gen architecture
(SaaS/PaaS/IaaS, Micro Services, Containers, RESTful API's), Data
Analytics, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning.
*Experience in Big Data Infrastructure and tuning experience in
Lakehouse Data Ecosystem including Data Lake, Data Warehouses, and
Graph DB.
*Strong understanding of Data Warehousing and Data Lakes
architectures and implementations (three or more years of data
strategy, design and implementation experience with big data
architectures.
*Experience in Data Transformation/ETL tools and technologies.
*Expertise on data catalog metadata tools such as Colibra data
tracing and lineage automation tools such as Azure Purview and
CludeIn.
*Exposure to Databricks Spark, Delta Technologies, Informatica,
SSIS, Talend, ETL or other industry leading tools.
*Deep understanding of Azure, AWS, Snowflake, Data Bricks and/or
other cloud technologies.
*Experience managing and working with virtual teams.
For Colorado Candidates
In compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rules, NTT
DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may
be hired in Colorado. For a candidate in the state of Colorado
only, the starting pay range for this role is $91,000 to $150,000.
Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including
actual work location, relevant experience (internal or external),
technical skills, and other qualifications. This position is
eligible for company benefits including medical, dental, and vision
insurance with an employer contribution, flexible spending or
health savings account, life and AD&D insurance, short and long
term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance,
participation in a 401k program with company match, and additional
