Projects Director will coordinate and organize any grassroots
events, voter registration drives, and efforts to educate and
empower students. The Projects Director will oversee theStudent
OutreachCoordinator.The primary mission of the department is: a) To
track local, state, and federal legislation to ensure that students
are represented fairly. b) To advocate on behalf of students to the
Faculty Senate, University officials, City and County officials,
the NSHE Office of the Chancellor, Nevada State Government and the
Nevada Congressional Delegation. c) To report to the President on
legislative happenings of the aforementionedbodies, andoffer
possibilities for involvement or collaboration. d) To provide
advice and recommendations to the President. e) To educate students
about legislative issues that affects them. f) To execute general
campaign strategies adopted by the Department of Legislative
Affairs set forth on behalf of the Associated Students of the
University of Nevada. g) Other matters properly relating
thereto.The Projects Director will coordinate and organize any
grassroots events, voter registration drives, and efforts to
educate and empower students. The Projects Director will oversee
the Projects Coordinator.This ASUN Student Leader position is
anappointedmember of the student government. By applying for this

QualificationsDuring my tenure in this appointed position, I agree
to adhere to the following guidelines, maintain a 2.00 GPA and be
enrolled in at least 7 credits, perform all duties and instructions
outlined by the ASUN Governing Documents, uphold the Nevada Student
Code of Conduct, meet all deadlines set forth, attend all required
meetings and trainings, work scheduled hours, properly complete and
submit HR paperwork on time, assist in the promotion of the mission
of ASUN and Nevada, behave in a manner that is ethical, maintaining
a high level of integrity, and other duties as called upon by my
position.I understand not adhering to the items outlined in this
agreement or what is stated in the ASUN Governing Documents, my
position may be subject disciplinary action by the ASUN Judicial
Council and/or the University of NevadaCompensation Grade$11.00 an
hour distributed evenly over a 12-month period not to exceed
$3,000.00 in a single term.Department InformationAssociated
