The City of Reno is located in Reno, Nevada, a medium sized city situated in northwestern Nevada at the base of the Sierra Nevada mountains. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience - -Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:Education:A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in parks and recreation administration, public administration, business administration, urban planning, or a closely related field. -Experience:Ten (10) years of progressively responsible park management and public recreation service experience, including three (3) years of management and administrative responsibility.Licensing:A valid driver's license is required at the time of application. Certification:National Recreation and Park Association Certified Park & Recreation Professional (CPRP) or Certified Park & Recreation Executive (CPRE).
