Job DescriptionThe University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for the Assistant Director, Clubs and Organizations. The Assistant Director is a key member of the Associated Students of the University of Nevada (ASUN) Center for Student Engagement (CSE). The position is responsible for the supervision, risk management, and advisement of campus-wide events/programs sponsored by ASUN and works closely with campus offices in managing all club sports. The Assistant Director chairs the Student Events Advisory Board, assigns security or police as necessary, and manages all risk and liability issues associated with all student-sponsored events including club sports. The ideal candidate serves as the liaison with campus administration, the City of Reno, and other constituencies to ensure legality, compliance, and safety at events including negotiation between student clubs and other organizations to support positive relationships and liability prevention. The position develops and implements student leadership programs, strategic plans, and research assessments of all clubs, programming efforts, and resources within a civic learning and democratic engagement framework.Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree and three (3) years of related professional work experience OR Master's Degree and two (2) years of related professional work experience.Related experience: Advising or working with college studentsSchedule or Travel RequirementsRespond and work during non-traditional (evening and weekend) hoursCompensation GradeAdministrative Faculty - BTo view the salary schedule for this position, please visit: Salary Schedules and select Administrative Faculty by Grade.
