Job Description:
Position Purpose
The leader in this role must function interdependently, providing
the opportunity and milieu for strategic direction and planning,
establishing standards, establishing the budget/forecast, and
monitoring operational performance of the assigned areas of Medical
Oncology, Infusion Services and Oncology Nursing education.This
leadership role is accountable for comprehensive knowledge of the
programs services, processes, and growth of assigned areas.

the work). The incumbent is accountable to foster Renown Health as
a learning organization.This position faces the major challenges of
maintaining positive relationships between the physicians, the
community, and the hospital; for maintaining cost-effective high
quality patient care; designing and providing educational programs;
complying with state, federal, and governing bodies regulations;
and working cooperatively with other departments to achieve
hospital goals.This position does provide direct patient care.
Nature and Scope
Incumbent has significant operational scope with respect to the
Renown Health Institute for Cancer and other ancillary duties as
assigned. This position supports organizational leaders, Medical
Directors, Physicians, and staff in the delivery of quality care
and service in a cost-effective value-based manner.Incumbent is
accountable for leading staff to assume accountability for
decisions and actions for patient care in the practice in
accordance with Federal and State requirements and organizational
goals. This individual is responsible for the execution of
strategic initiatives at a departmental, divisional and system
level. Incumbent will have strong working knowledge of oncology
physician practice/operations, nursing operations, infusion
operations, infusion center operations, cancer programs and
accreditations.The incumbent shall demonstrate visibility and build
trust among all Renown Health Institute for Cancer team members and
physicians, promote the use of technology and systems, participate
in Renown Health Institute for Cancer goals, manage financials for
assigned department, implement new clinical and best practice or
evidence-based practice programs as needed and assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Description
Education:
Must have working-level knowledge of the English language,
including reading, writing and speaking English.Exceptional mastery
of the English language with the ability to use the language for
persuasion and influence in a professional and diplomatic manner is
needed to lead and achieve performance. Bachelors Degree Nursing is
required. MSN, MHA or MBA healthcare or business field strongly
preferred.
Experience:
Five years of health care experience in a position of increasing
responsibility.
License(s):
Ability to obtain and maintain a State of Nevada Register Nursing
(RN) license. State of Nevada Point of Care Analyst POCA license
required within 120 days of hire.
Certification(s):
AHA BLS Certification required upon hire.Chemotherapy/Biotherapy
training per ASCO standards upon hire.OCN certification is required
two (2) years from date of hire.
Computer / Typing:
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook,
PowerPoint, Excel, Teams and Word and have the ability to use the
computer for online learning requirements for job-specific
competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online
benefits enrollment, etc.
