Position Description: Service Delivery Manager The individual in this role will be accountable for Business Continuity Management and activities for the Global BPO, interfacing with Microsoft employees and vendor stakeholders in our Commercial Operations space.? He/she will be accountable for the successful planning and management of business continuity strategies with focus on critical areas of the business. These strategies include contingency planning, disaster and business recovery, and risk management. The role is in Reno and will work directly with several vendor and Microsoft operations located across multiple global locations which deliver a range of BPO services as part of our Global network of operational delivery centers.??? A successful candidate should be comfortable working within a highly matrix-driven multinational organization, exhibit solid organizational, communication, and negotiation skills, and have a strong background in business continuity and risk planning. Basic Qualifications * Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience * A minimum of 7 years of accumulated business continuity and risk experience in a technology or BPO environment supporting a global delivery business - must have strong business continuity program expertise, contract management and service delivery related experience. Preferred Qualifications: * Strong project/ program management skills * Excellent verbal and written communications skills * Able to work across cultures effectively, valuing diversity within virtual team.? Working knowledge of international business practices. * Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio, Project) products. * MBA is a plus. Responsibilities: * Delivery and accountability for Business Continuity efforts with focus on assuring that critical business processes, functions, and applications are covered in comprehensive contingency plan framework. * Executing a strong business continuity program that ensures continuity of BPO transaction processing services across the globe. * Ensure outsourced Vendor processes meet our global controls and compliance requirements for business planning across vendor locations. * Manages the regular validation, testing, and documentation for business continuity and is on point to direct and recover essential business services during disaster or other interrupted business periods. * Deliver post mortem reviews and analysis to improve or reinforce points of failure or poor process design. Essential qualities include: * Strong communication and influencing skills - person needs to be able to manage BPO delivery and expectations * Strong business knowledge and ability to set clear expectations for business outcomes within a global multi-site operation * Proven experience of influencing other organizations where their support is critical to success * Ability to work across groups managing individuals both directly and indirectly to achieve a common goal * A good understanding of change management, the importance of it, approaches, key tasks and timelines * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced multinational environment working across multiple lines of business * Very strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills
