Eaton's Course Hinds/B-Line division is seeking a Manufacturing
Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Reno, NV
site. Position Overview: The position will be a critical member of
the Manufacturing Engineering team for the Reno, Nevada facility.
The primary responsibility of this role will be to collaborate with
Operations Teams to improve results. Identifying process variables
affecting Safety, Quality, Delivery, or Cost, the Manufacturing
Engineer will utilize the continuous improvement techniques
supporting of Lean Daily Management, and other team-based
initiatives that propel practical problem-solving methods to solve.
This position will interface directly with all levels of
manufacturing and be accountable for, but not inclusive of, the

- Proactively implement, promote, and maintain a Zero Incident
Safety Culture, through diligence in accident prevention,
investigation, equipment maintenance, and rule enforcement.
- Act as the Product Line(s) leader for managing daily and
continuous improvement projects.
- Drive employee engagement with respect to continuous
improvement and lean manufacturing.
- Research capital projects, specification, justification, and
implementation.
- Project and resource planning including vendor and contract
management.
- Plan and execute set up and cycle time improvement, though the
use of Lean Techniques.
- Plan and execute on plant layout, process flow, and machine
capability improvements.
- Develop and implement standard work documentation and
processes.
- Daily support of LDMS tier processes.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in the areas of
safety, quality, delivery, cost, etc. Develops and recommends
improvements of processes, equipment, or procedures to improve
safety, quality, and efficiency. Lead and facilitate continuous
improvement events. - Allocate the necessary resources to meet
external and internal commitments while controlling costs.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists personnel in
solving work problems.
- Support New Product Development projects as needed. Ensure
robust LEAN principles are incorporated in new manufacturing
processes.

Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial
Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing engineering
experience.
- Must be able to work in the United States without corporate
sponsorship now and within the future
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only
candidates within a 50-mile radius of facility will be considered.
-Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the
geographical area limitation. Preferred qualifications:
- Lean or Six-Sigma training or certifications.
- Understanding PLC & Computer Controls programming, and
troubleshooting.
- Proficient in AutoCad and SolidWorks, Microsoft Suite.
- Progressive tool and dye experience. Position Criteria:
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format
in English.
- Demonstrated leadership of Lean/Continuous Improvement/Six
Sigma & Value Stream Mapping (VSM) projects
- Equipment, tooling and fixture design and/or improvement with
demonstrated results
- Experience using software solutions used by Eaton for MES, PDM,
MRP (ENOVIA, SAP)
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Track record of driving continuous improvements through
sustainable processes.
- Ability to negotiate with all levels of management, both
internally and externally.
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation
skills.
- Experience working with any of the following: Production Part
Approval Process, Statistical Process Control, Measurement Systems
Analysis, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, Failure Mode, and
Effects Analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate positive and
constructive feedback to employees or co-workers.
- Ability to direct the training, motivation, and development of
