      Job Summary

      The Coach will provide quality riding instruction to groups and individuals in a safe and fun manner while upholding all Colorado and California Skier Safety Act rules/regulations and Company guidelines. Full and Part Time positions for PSIA/AASI/USSA/FIS certified instructors/coaches are available for the upcoming season. Positions are available in Alpine U10, U12, U14, U16, Freesk, Moguls, Snowboard and All Mtn devo team programs. We are an in-house team, with foundation support and tremendous growth opportunities.

      The Ski and Snowboard Team offers many different options for coaching depending on your style and preference!
      • Development Ski and Snowboard Teams - Introduction to the Ski and Snowboard Teams with a focus on all mountain skills
      • Competitive Ski and Snowboard Teams - Coach upper level and committed athletes. Prepare them for competitions regionally and nationally.
        Ski and Snowboard Team Breakdown:
        • Development Ski and Snowboard Teams - All-Mountain Ski Team and All-Mountian Snowboard Team
        • Competitive Ski and Snowboard Teams - Freeski/ Snowboard (Park & Pipe), Alpine Racing (U10 - U18)
          Job Specifications
          • Starting Wage: $20 - $26 / hour
          • Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time and Part Time Job Responsibilities
            • Upholding the highest levels of athlete safety on varied terrain in high altitude, with varying winter weather conditions.
            • Clearly and accurately instructing assigned levels of skiing to athletes, both physically and verbally.
            • Ensuring that athletes are matched to appropriate skier skill level and working with Head Coach to make appropriate changes when necessary.
            • Assisting guests to load and unload the chairlift.
            • Communicating instructions and delivering a season long progression of skills
            • Supervising athletes at all times; assisting at lunch and snack times; ensuring return of group to identified guardian.
            • Other duties as assigned Job Requirements
              • High School or Equivalent Education
              • Attend Ski and Ride training sessions
              • PSIA/AASI/USSA/FIS Level 1, 2 or 3 certification and/or USSA coaching
              • Basic knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and browser applications; basic internet navigation
              • Must be fluent in all aspects of the English language (spoken and written)
              • Must have excellent guest service skills
              • Must have excellent communication skills
              • Must work well in a team
              • Must be able to work in inclement weather in a high alpine environment
              • Must have sight, speech, and hearing abilities sufficient to learn skills, follow and provide directions
              • Must be available to work holidays and weekends
              • Must be able to lift, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach frequently.
                Preferred Skills
                • Experience working with guests of all ages
                • Previous experience with teaching/coaching/mentoring
                • Previous ski/snowboard coaching experience
                • Knowledge of local area/resort
                • Previous experience with teaching/coaching/mentoring all age groups
                  The budgeted range starts at $20 - $26. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
