Job Description

Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC), located in Reno, Nevada, actively maintains a pool of qualified individuals to be selected from on an as needed basis by the department to fulfill part-time temporary instructional needs.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in English as a Second Language or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution, or Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in English or Foreign Languages with recent ESL teaching experience.

Responsibilities

Candidates must exhibit an appreciation of, a sensitivity to, and respect for a diverse academic environment, inclusive of students, faculty, and staff of varying social, economic, cultural, ideological and ethnic backgrounds.

The primary responsibility is to teach college-level and developmental courses. The position provides opportunity for input into scheduling and course assignments.

Salary Information: $850 per credit on standard credit courses.

Conditions of Employment

This is a on-going pool of qualified individuals interested in part- time, temporary non-tenure track instructional opportunities at Truckee Meadows Community College.

These opportunities are part-time only and will not be continued beyond the ending date. These opportunities may be terminated at will, at any time, for any reason, without notice; appointee has no appeal rights. Temporary assignments are not eligible for consideration for tenure as part of the assignment.

Employment is contingent upon a successful background examination.
