University of Nevada, Reno's Nevada Career Studio is looking for a
student worker. We seek a motivated individual to serve as the
Marketing and Social Media (MSM) Lead for the Nevada Career Studio
(NCS). The Studio is a unique student center on the second floor of
the Pennington Student Achievement Center (PSAC) at the University
of Nevada, Reno.The Studio specializes in career coaching for all
university students. The Marketing and Social Media Lead under the
supervision of the Director and Coordinators is responsible for
assisting and developing marketing, publicity, promotion and
outreach of all our events, programs, and services is done.
Additionally, the MSM Lead will build social media campaigns,
prepare promotional materials and presentations and complete
clerical and administrative duties.Responsibilities
- Oversee the design and graphics of marketing materials
including the creation of signage, mock-ups, email campaigns,
presentations, and social media content
- Develop new social media campaigns, considering current and
planned career events and activities
- Monitor social channels and respond to feedback, questions, and
concerns, including adjusting outreach tactics as needed
- Assist in planning and staffing of career fairs, events and
programs
- Help distribute marketing materials
- Collect quantitative and qualitative data from marketing
campaigns
- Seek and analyze competitor marketing material and digital
contentRequired Qualifications
- Candidate must be enrolled at the University of Nevada,
Reno
- Undergraduate applicants must be in good academic standing with
a 2.75 minimum GPA
- Graduate applicants must be in good academic standing with a
3.0 minimum GPA
- Applicants must stay enrolled in at least 15 credits per
semester as undergraduates during Fall 2023 and Spring 2024
semesters, unless you are graduating or are a graduate student

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Familiarity with marketing computer software and content
creation platforms (e.g. CRM tools, Online analytics, Canva,
Instagram, TikTok, etc.)
- Passion for the marketing industry and its best practices
- Aptitude with various social media platforms as well as the
data tracking tools associated with them
- Ability to quickly learn and process information
