Child Care Manager/Supervisor Subordinate staff: In the absence of the supervisor and/or manager, the Coordinator role is responsible for child care center oversight including staffing, etc. Position Purpose: Under the supervision of the manager or supervisor, this position is responsible for the Child Care Center operations including coordinating the children's weekly schedules/payments with health network A/R to ensure correct and timely reimbursement for services provided.
The Coordinator also provides a variety of functions to support daily operations including maintenance of all department computer systems, personal computers (PC's) and department's portion of the hospital wide systems.; aids in system or scheduling implementation; clerical and greeting duties.
In the absence of the supervisor and/or manager the Coordinator role is responsible for childcare center oversight including staffing, etc.
This position does not provide patient care. Nature and Scope: This position represents Renown Health Child Care Center to a variety of individuals and entities in a professional manner.
High standards of courtesy, performance, diplomacy and respect for confidentiality with parents and licensing entities are essential.
The incumbent prioritizes tasks related to the maintenance of current automated systems and acts as support to department staff in the development, planning and implementation of all systems.
The major challenges to this position include maintaining records and billing in A/R accurately and within allowed time frames, dealing with the families regarding financial matters in a diplomatic and professional manner, ensuring that accurate reimbursement is received in a timely manner, managing multiple priorities and taking direction from several individuals, weekly classroom scheduling and processing a variety of duties in a timely manner.
Appropriate action is to be taken to ensure maximum reimbursement is received in a timely manner, account activity is concisely documented and family accounts are maintained and handled in accordance with defined Center policies and procedures.
This position is authorized to make decisions regarding the children's schedules and billing agreements.
Other major challenges to this position are the investigation and correction of non- routine problems and other related duties, system backup support and overtime as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
Requirements - Required and/or Preferred Education: Must have working-level knowledge of English language, including reading, writing and speaking English.
Requires the ability to obtain 15 children care training hours per licensing year, with a minimum of 12 child development hours to be obtained within 90 days of hire date as per Department of Social Services requirements. Applicants with an Associates degree in Early Childhood Education or a CDA preferred. Experience: Requires working knowledge of A/R, clerical, and/or office management.
Experience with icon-based and DOS PC operating systems and word processing software is preferred.
Must have experience working with database spreadsheet programs. Applicants with A/R experience in a childcare setting will be given preference. License(s): Eligible to receive and maintain a current Sheriffs Card for Child Care before 1st day of employment. Certification(s): BLS/CPR, First Aid, Child Abuse and Neglect and Infectious Disease Workshops within three months (90 days) of hire date. Computer / Typing: Must possess the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc. Computer knowledge, excel spreadsheet proficient, ability to type 40 WPM.
