Katie Weigel with Robert Half Finance and Accounting is recruiting to fill a Staff Accountant role for a growing professional services firm in Reno. The role will handle a variety of small business accounting needs for a number of different entities. Payroll, accounts payable, monthly bookkeeping, quarterly reports, reconciliations, 1099's, general ledger work and other miscellaneous tasks that support the back office business operations of very small businesses. The person in this role may handle up to 15 of these clients monthly. The work is done primarily on Quickbooks, proficiency in Excel is a must. The company offers the opportunity to grow into more sophisticated work in supporting different clients and there are a number of people in the firm that will mentor, guide and review - so they are willing to train a willing and capable candidate. The firm also offers the opportunity to do tax work, if the person hired is interested in learning that aspect of their business. To be considered for the role candidates should have a BS Degree in Accounting and at least one year of experience or 3-5 years of bookkeeping experience. The position is in a professional office, and will have some client contact so good communication and presentation is important. The company offers and exceptional benefits package.
