University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for an Administrative
Assistant 3 for the Business and Finance Department. This position
will provide administrative clerical support to the Associate Vice
President (AVP) and Fiscal & HR Officer for the Business & Finance
Office. Other duties include, but are not limited to: maintaining
calendars, travel schedules, and prepares/distributes agendas for
various meetings; reporting to the Fiscal & HR Officer and
providing assistance with financial and human resource processes
which includes reconciliation of departmental pcard transactions;
supporting various departmental operations such as the management
of the records retention and surplus property, maintenance of the
fixed asset/sensitive inventory, ordering supplies and processing
work orders and phone/key requests; answering phones; greeting
visitors; processing incoming mail; and other duties as
assigned.Required QualificationsThis position requires graduation
from high school or equivalent education and three (3) years of
progressively responsible relevant work experience which included
experience in one or more of the following areas: maintenance of
complex records and files; public/customer relations including
explaining detailed policies, regulations and requirements;
preparation and processing of financial and statistical documents
such as payroll, travel, claims and budgeting forms; and assisting
staff and management with projects and activities; OR one (1) year
of experience as an Administrative Assistant II in Nevada State
service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
as described above.ScheduleThe typical work schedule is Monday
through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; this is subject to change
based on organizational needs.Compensation GradeGrade 27 (Entry,
Step 01 $17.80/hr. - Step 03 $19.32/hr.)In classified service,
salary is in Grade and Step. The Step is determined based on the
Nevada Administrative Code. Salary placement above a Step 01 at
initial appointment is determined based on the recruitment, the
candidate's qualifications, internal equity and budgets. A request
